Glimpse of Summer

Darkened skies
Droplets of rain
Makes me realize
Summer has faded away.

Looking back to the days
When summer’s still here
Oh, how I missed the sun
All the laughters and tears.

I remember the hidden smiles
Cokes and potato fries
I remember the heartache
It  was not  just a piece of cake!

The cold winds’ gentle blow
Summer’s gone, I should know
Everything’s over and blown
A  drop of rain kissed my nose!

Rays of sun to drops of rain
Bright skies now dark and blue
Joys of heart turned to pain
All these are signs – I’m missing you!

What If?

What if the birds get tired of flying
And the earthworms hated the mud?
What if the rain stopped  falling
                And flood suddenly becomes blood?
What if the skies turned black
And the stars never again twinkled?
What if dawn failed to come
And the sun forever was hidden?
What if the sea burst out  in the desert
And the ocean doesn’t touch the shore?
What if the Earth meets a comet
And there is no reason of living for?

No matter what happens, my friend –
                I’ll always be real
By your side, I’ll never vanish
Coz’  our love has a seal!

Be Positive

When the raging waves against you soar
And it’s hard to swim towards the shore
When you pray for the sun to shine
But still hard rain pours down
It  wasn’t easy to walk towards East
When everybody’s heading for the West
It’s tough to climb a mountain so  high
When here in land you already sigh,
“Oh my, I can’t do this, I’ll fail,
I give up”,  is all you  can tell
That  kind of attitude, as everybody says-
Never would  help you survive a day!

A Typical View

A book begs to be read
Lying on a table that is dead
A pair of eyes wandered through the walls
Then  through the windows, ceilings and floors.

The calculator is waiting to be  touched
Exercises and problems are worrying much
The pen stints, its not in the mood
It’ll walk later when it already feels good.

Ex-apple of the eyes of my Master
Passed by but it didn’t  bother
A hand grabbed an old bookmarker
And thrown back to place sooner.

Words knockin’ on both ears
Never welcomed, never heard
Addressed by the man in front
With reading  glasses, a respected one.

A sleepy breath came out the mouth
Patiently  waiting for the  bell to ring
Another one  from the same sense came out
There’s  the bell, what  joy it  brings!

Little Star

One fine night  as I stood  by the garden
Uttering a  pray’r looking up in heaven
Suddenly a little star above me slowly glisten
No other stars around, nothing to get even.
As  I looked from afar, a bunch of stars are shining
They’re so bright, they twinkle and they’re so eye-catching
I smiled  - they’re so merry and I enjoyed looking
But the little star is what my eyes are searching.
Night  after night, I look up in the sky
To see the little star and at its presence I sigh,
“I’m a friend, little star  -  I’m here to get by,
To be with you up  there has been my heart’s desire.”
Years passed and still I look up at the little star
Suddenly I noticed, it has moved  quite far
And now it’s different, it shines so bright
Mixed feelings I felt,  it’s peculiar in my sight.
The little star I admired started to grow
Though now, he’s bright, he’s got  a humble glow
Just one thing I can’t deny, he seemed to be so far
Impossible for me to reach, oh my little star!

Ooops!

That old Church
I came to pass by
Brings back the…
Ooops!

Pens and posters
Scissors and rulers
Reminds me of…
Ooops!

Burgers and fries
Coke and  Royal
Tastes much more…
Ooops!

Pictures taken
Beside each other
I could not…
Ooops!

Set of drums
Songs and dance
I cannot…
Ooops!

Silences between
Laughters and tears
How could I…
Ooops!

My secret?
Sssh. They might hear –
Catch this whisper…
Ooops!

Life

Trees are chopped down
Rivers and seas polluted
Evening  news speaks of crime
Nation’s wealth being corrupted.
Warnings and signs are given
But people never listen
Somehow, they’re not to blame
Calamity versus them, on with the game.
The society bleeds
And everyone  is ill
The skies are crying
A cure should be here.
To hell with the masks
Damn  with the dark
Everybody will be sucked
Life isn’t in bucks.
Poor generation next to this
Nothing’s left for them to wish
The debts will take its  price
For living life so unwise.
