Friends Forever

There’s a place under the sun

Where two lost souls found each other

They rest upon each other’s heart

Ad never again did they wander.

No one thought there would spark

A feeling of unselfish love

It was something they’d live their whole life with-

Something they can’t  have in a bid

It was something wonderful and immeasurable-

Something strong and unsinkable…

 

It was something called  “FRIENDSHIP”…

And that two lost souls that once were wandering was  YOU & ME!

 

There’s a place under the stars

Where we open each other’s heart;

We shared the pains, sorrows and tears

And we survived all through the years;

With one, it’s halfway through success

With the two of us-everything’s such a mess;

For sometime I’ve done you wrong-

When my heart’s temptation is not too strong,

But then you reached out your hand

And gently say you understand.

When I’m down, you cheer me up,

When you’re lost, I hold your hand.

When I’m troubled and can’t be at ease,

You’ll go with me wherever I please.

You need a listening ear, I’m here-

I need a shoulder to cry on, you’re there.

Your heart is broken, I won’t leave you.

Whoever is accountable, I’d truly care for you.

 

We shared lollipops and twirls

Have all the fun and cheers

Sang songs even out of tune

Danced out reggaes and  ballrooms

There’s never such an odd time with us together

And it makes me think we’re friends forever.

 

There never was a time that parting crossed my mind

And it’s really hard to accept that we’d soon have to part

What would happen to all those times we shared,

Would it be just mem’ries to look back to when we get there?

I’d wish you goodluck and you’d wish me the same

I’d say my prayers for you and please do take care.

May God bless you all throughout your life-

And may you find your heart’s desire and may you be truly loved.

Don’t you ever stop fighting along-

Though the road ahead could be rough and long.

And the whole world may be a barrier to get through success-

But never give up, just believe in yourself!

 

This is not goodbye, I hope…

But I’m sure gonna miss you, friend.

 

Reality says we’d go on our own diff’rent ways

“But I won’t forget  to remember,” you say.

Please don’t go too far-

I might be so lonely for sometime;

In a way that you need someone-

Just call on and I won’t fail to come.

In time, I know we can bring back the old times we’ve shared,

And it would seem that nothing changed.

It’s because our hearts  would get in touch with each other-

And because we’re chained as “FRIENDS FOREVER!”

Which Way?

Send you chocolates

And a bunch of flowers

Invite you out for a date

Write you love letters.

Send you a card

Saying, “I like you”

Call you on the phone

To tell you, “I love you.”

I’d call up a DJ

And ask for a song

Greet you sweet ‘hello’ on air

From someone who really cares.

I’d wait for you at the gate

But please don’t think I’m cheap

Then I’d walk and ride with you

And pay the fare for two.

Ask a friend a favor

To pass this note to you

Saying, “Let’s have dinner,

Come 8 p.m. , I’d pick you.”

“Would you like to come with me,

On a Saturday for a movie?”

Whew! If only I’m courageous enough

But you see, I’m too dumb.

Oh, how in the world

Could I express myself

When I am but a girl

Who’s feeling’s all suppressed?

Could there be a chance

That you’d get to know

What’s inside my heart

‘Coz I can’t let this go.

Oh, boy-

You’re such a creature!

Retreat

Days had passed

Regrets took its chance

Tears are in my eyes

But there’s no second chance

I’d stop for a while

There’s no reason to cry

I know I’ve failed

It’s not too late –

The Beauty of Love

I see myself dancing and twisting and turning

Like a ballerina in a magical box

In the colors of the rainbow, I see myself playing

And in a mirror of pure roses and scents

Then I’ve waited what would happen-

Because in your eyes I see  the beauty of love.

 

I hear myself singing and shouting and cheering

The joys of heart could be this close

In a melody of a song, I hear myself humming

And the notes and the chords altogether have knotted

Imagination

When our eyes met

Chill got through my neck

He smiled at me

My friends didn’t see

I smiled back

No walls to block

When he came near

I felt so thrilled

He’s simply gorgeous

My heart’s amused

He asked my name

Oh, I’m still sane

We’ve got acquainted

I almost fainted

Rats double-flocked

In my heart, rub-a-dub

He holds my hand

Shame with my cold palm

He suddenly whispered

“Could you be mine, dear?”

Sounds so sincere

A song to my ear

Speechless at the moment

I just nod my head

Just right after

He came much nearer

He enclosed me in his arms

I totally fell in his charms!

I messed the exams

I’ve never been serious

Everything’s done

And I’m delirious… Bang!

 

Lost times  with friends

I got to make-up

Still time don’t let me

And I’m all cracked up… Bang!

Halfway being friends

Halfway being foes

Worse, I fell-in-love with you… Bang!

Another night has come

And I got the  same old wish:

That you’d drop by our house

And be my friend, please!

 

I’ll leave my window open

So when you thought of dropping by

You’ll feel the warmth and welcome-

Of a sincere heart, no lies!

 

When you arrived and you invited me-

To come home with you

With just one happy thought

I’d be flying, too!

Nor get jealous with Tink

‘coz with you I feel secured

And I won’t take a wink!

 

I’m ready for the pirates

Though it’s different from the real one-
